HULL 1-1 CARDIFF

Peter Whittingham's volley earned Cardiff a point at Hull in the battle of two of the top flight's newcomers.

Danny Graham missed a glorious chance for the home side before Curtis Davies gave Hull the lead when he headed in a Tom Huddlestone cross.
But Cardiff rallied and equalised, with Whittingham firing in a low left-foot shot from Don Cowie's cross.
Aron Gunnarsson headed wide for the visitors and Graham shot wide as both teams went close to a winner.
